We’ve been told to try the food by numerous people and we finally had a chance tonight.
Unbelievable service. Amazing food.
Like the food- out of this world!!
We ordered brisket, Mac and cheese, corn bread, baked beans and candied bacon.
Amazing portions and again soooo unbelievably good! We will definitely be back for more food.
Ordered the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches both are HUGE! also ordered ribs and believe me when I say these are one of the best ribs I've ever eaten! Will definitely comeback when we are in town! 😁
This is the BEST BBQ Ribs and Brisket I have ever had.

Food - 5stars
Owner and co-owner - Very cool dudes
Price - considering the 5 star food, extremly low priced.
I was driving back from Niagara Falls Canada to catch a plane home. I was attending a business conference for 3 days of all day long presentations and training. We were treated breakfast, lunch, and dinner to the finest restaurants in Niagara. We had private party all you can eat and drink everywhere we went.
We went to a VERY expensive steak restaurant... it was supposedly over 100$ a plate and 3 plates per person.
Garbage! Absolutly NOTHING compared to Mike's BBQ. I mean that! The fancy quadruple A steak was MEH at best... in comparison.
So we are on the way to the airport. My travel companion attending the same conference but flying a different airline and destination started talking about how big they are into bbq cooking at home on a competitive team. I mentioned we had 3+ hrs till our flights, let's find some good meat... So I am looking... and looking... 4.3... 4.8 .... 5stars... wait, how many reviews on that 5 star... HOLY... HEY! LETS GO HERE!.... (over 240 reviews)
I started reading the reviews out loud...
Best BBQ ever...
Def will return...
Im a foodie and this blew my mind...
I kept reading reviews... Out Loud.
Excitement building in our minds... There it is... We spotted it between gas stations.
Pulling in we knew this was going to be 100% energy focused on making good food. No wasted energy on fancy booths or marketing or etched glass windows... Walking up to the window, I could see the seriousness of the kitchen equipment... Wow! Like... That's some serious setup back there...
Mike the owner greets me (didn't know it at the time). He asks what I would like gesturing with a smile to a menu. I returned his gaze and straight faced said... I want ribs... and brisket... and corn bread. He asked what if any sauces, sides, and volume of brisket... .5lbs was enough with a full rack for my buddy and I.
We were presented shortly after with... what I have to describe as an experience of doing it right, without flaunting fancy packaging and pretend quality. Cardboard reinforced togo bag. Well sealed aluminum containers. Stacked securely, with silverware and sauces.
My new friend and I smiled and agreed we had time to eat before hitting the road... we begin to unpack it.
See photo of Brisket. O...M...Gosh! That is the best looking peice of meat, I have ever seen. Let me point out in the photo, that you can see individual small chunks of meat shifting aside other meat. It was so tender... so juicy... that the physical meat appearance detailed it clearly and confidently to me.
It vanished. We didn't say a word. Mike's partner walked by to check in with us, "Everything good?"... My eyes closed signifying my delight with the flavours - He chuckled, "Ah. Good. I can tell from the look on your faces. Enjoy my friends."
We opened the ribs. And squeeled with enthusiasm! See the picturrrre. (Yes pict-urrrrre)
Comon... you know that looks pretty good... but you may be thinking... flavours good but what about the meat. Ribs are always so scarce for meat. Burnt ends and fatty knuckles wasting the weight you paid for... BUT NOT HERE. Not at BBQ by Mike. We cleaned every bone completely. We were very satsified with, literally, the meat falling off the bone as we retreived them. The sauce... not too much, you see it in the pictures... you're worried it was not enough maybe? It was plenty... because... The meat was so juicy! It didn't need to be wet with sauce to be palletable.
We ate every shred. Never once did I open the extra sauces that were provided. None needed.
The corn bread was something amazing too. It was like...hmm.... a muffins worth of density and moisture but absolutely cornbread texture and flavour. It didn't need honey or butter. Was perfect just the way it was. Melting in your mouth. I didn't need a drink with it.
We took a daytrip to USA and wanted to eat lunch there. We found this restaurant and saw that it was exactly 5-stars. We were shocked by the rating and wanted to see how the food was.
When we got there, it was a very lowkey place and we were unable to figure out whether it was inside the gas station or somewhere else. Then, we saw a bunch of dudes barbecuing and immediately noticed the board which read BBQ by Mike’s.
As for the food, we ordered a smoked brisket slider with candy bacon and Jamaican chicken sandwich. The portion sizes were still pretty big, however. The smoked brisket was out of this world and is one of the BEST foods I’ve ever eaten. The Jamaican chicken came packed with coleslaw, 2 huge pieces of burnt chicken, and a huge chunk of pineapple, as my Dad describes it. Seeing the speed at which my father ate, he definitely enjoyed his meal. I, however, took my own sweet time savouring every bite of my meal.
All in all, exceptional food and a great experience. We will definitely be back if we can.
Stopped by Mikes on our way to Canada after seeing all the 5 star reviews and we were not disappointed! We got the OG platter, all the meats were tender and cooked to perfection. Even better than the food was the service. Mike greeted us as soon as we walked over and continued to check on us throughout our time there. He even offered us samples of candied bacon (to die for) and cowboy baked beans. My husband isn’t normally a BBQ fan and he loved it! Stop by if you get the chance.
Food is 10/10 and highly would recommend for an authentic BBQ experience. If you ever visit Niagara Falls, it is worth the 20 minute drive to this place to experience all BBQ By Mike has to offer!
As someone who grew up eating BBQ in the South, I have never felt like I have eaten true slow-cooked BBQ with enriched flavors in my travels up north until today! The food is amazing and definitely competes for the best BBQ I have ever had (and that is a lot)!
The staff are very personable and accommodating. I can’t wait to come back when I am in the area again and after they have completed their renovations and have the food joint they deserve!
We came from Whistler BC to try Mike's O.G platter, with perfect Mac and Cheese as a side. Greeted by pit master Mike ,were instantly warmed up by his kind attention.
Beef brisket is perfect, pulled pork with North Carolina sauce, ribs, cheese sausage.
Highly recommended 👌. This place is amazing. Real . Friendly. Easy parking.
We came down to buffalo for a road trip during the summer and WOW this place was amazing. Don't judge a book by its cover because this place might look tiny but their flavors pack a punch! Highly recommend the OG platter since you get a bit of everything.
I'll always remember Pitmaster Mike who was super friendly and let us try some of their cornbread and candied bacon. We don't have too many amazing BBQ places in Toronto but I never knew that cornbread could be one of my favorite things in BBQ.
Not only that but the candied bacon was OUT OF THIS WORLD. The way the fats melt in your mouth, texture of the crisped smoked bacon and the subtly gritty natural sugars that coat the bacon. WOW just heaven in your mouth. Take your time to savor it because it'll be gone before you know it!
Hands down would come back down just to get some more of their barbecue because it really is one of the best places to get some of that grubby goodness you're looking for.
Pitmaster Mike, we will never forget you!
